Also assisted in setting up LoadRunner and performance monitoring.
Interket: Installed SunRay(Sun Solaris thin client) for this company, and their 4 “sister”-companies to use 1 generic setup of ERP-system, and PC-setup

Skanska Sweden: Consultancy as Oracle Applications DBA , relating to latching issues on Solaris 2.6 and Oracle RDBMS 8.1.7.0, “”walk-through” of existing setup as to recommendations on performance-improvements and hardware, Solaris 2.6 to 8 transition, Oracle 11.5.4 to 11.5.8 migration, and Oracle Projects issues.

TeleNordia Sweden: Ongoing consultancy; upgrading Oracle Applications from 11.5.1 through 11.5.5, upgraded the RDBMS from 8.1.7.3 to 9.2R2, installation/and setup of online-backup.
2001-1996:
Lunds University, Sweden: Installation and setup for 10.7, 11 and 11i on Digital Unix(Compaq/Tru64), all technical setup, installation and maintenance.

Bredbåndsbolaget, Sweden: Worked as a project manager for Bredbåndbolaget, in defining and installation for Volvo Cars, Gothenburg, which included extensive cooperation together with the Volvo IT, in setting up and installation of WebSphere on AIX and Solaris. This furthermore required extensive in-depth work on the WebSphere part as this had to work together with the Oracle Databases on the part of Bredbåndsbolaget in Lund. This task lasted most part of 2001.

Department of Education, Denmark: Chief technical advisor for all Oracle Applications installation on all major universities in Denmark; as diverse environments as: HPUX 9-10, Solaris and Digital OpenVMS.

FLS Industries, Denmark: Oracle Applications installation on hybrid client-server solution: HP as a backend and Solaris for the front. Consultancy in areas of performance improvements, Concurrent Manager issues(locking), archive-and purge.


Before I started as an independent I worked for Oracle:
Oracle EMEA(beginning of 1996): Oracle EMEA is the common European consultancy division where I headed the Multi-Org Beta(which forms the basis for Oracle Applications) programme for all European customers.

Oracle Deutschland Gmbh.:1992-1996
Started as a DBA with BP, and stayed in that position for six months. In this position as an APPS DBA I worked extensively with testing for Apps programs, reports, forms, etc.
After that I took over as the “MasterDBA” with Oracle, Hamburg on the DBA/Financials DBA front, meaning I got all the complex installations and upgrades for all Customers in the Northern part of Germany.
This includes various flavors of Unix and OpenVMS.
I had a position of heading all Technical personnel for Financials installations for all of Germany.

As a short description of the customers and installations I have taken part in: DBA at BP Hamburg(single support center for all European Financials installations, Installation of Parallel Server at European Airbus in Hamburg for their big VAX/Alpha cluster, Installation of Oracle Financials at Hamburg Hafen, based on a Stratus Computer(Totally fault tolerant system, 24-hour system), Installation of Oracle Financials at UPS Deutschland, very critical customer, as NLS support had to installed for Germany and Austria and still had to have American appearance for the users in New Jersey, and a number of other installations all very complex due to Oracle Financials. As well did installation and ongoing support for IKEA(Amiko) in Hamburg on the OpenVMS installation for Apps 10.7/Apps 11/Apps 11i on both VAX’en and Alpha’s.

Oracle Danmark A/S 1991-1989: Started as presales, but got quickly into internal systems where I took over responsability for all in house systems.
This constituted a number of VAX’en and a few Unix-boxes.
Was sent to California for three months for the first implementation of Oracle Applications(Oracle Internal) as a part of the BP-Europe project(first wave).

TPI A/S 1989-1988: Expatriated as a consultant for this Consultancy company to Switzerland, where I was part of the installation of a major production plant system.
All developed in SQL*Forms 2.3, RPT SQL*Menu and a number of C-programs, based on an Oracle Database and VAX/VMS.

Christian Rovsing of 1984 1988-1986: Internal systems, where I was responsible for in house developed systems(mainly HR/Personnel), developed in ADABAS/Natural II.
Made a number of Database Designs for in house packages.
Mainly on Mainframe, but had also the first contact with VMS on a VAX.

Danish Esso A/S 1986-1984:
Systems Engineer(Personnel Package/HR),
Systems Engineer/Part time Project leader for Fixed Assets project (McCormack & Dodge, FA), all on Mainframe(IBM 3033 and TSO and MARK IV).
Project-leader for calibrations of Jet fuel(based on a package from Esso Italiana developed in Basic).
