1. WHen ISS Norway started in earnest on the PA-implementation today... a problem showed up that was quite bizarre...
They got a number of spurious errors all relating to "ORA-1801: DATE FORMAT IS TOO LONG FOR INTERNAL BUFFER"
The fix according to a number of entries on Metalink were to apply patch 3944226(which is an RDBMS patch)

restarted all services... ran "Active Users" to check everything is ok....

If you have the problem that you cannot get logged in with "cyradm" when trying to create/access/whatever users....
Do notice.....(provided you have not established any other passwordroutines.......) that the "saslpasswd2" password have to be the same as the "passwd" password....

From the problem from last night.....
And gotten the go-ahead from Gerrit...

Have chosen the AD I 4 as there are a lot of other fixes as well.....

Started on the PA RollUP 3 ... but quickly ran int a problem with "memory fault" ....
Did some research on Metalink... and it appears to be a HP-UX specific problem.... two patch options available: one specific, or going to AD I 4 minipack, which has the memory specific problem incorporated.....
Awaiting feedback from Gerrit... on when i have the system for patching....
